San Juan Hotel Day Rates

Hi All,

 

My DH and I will be on the Millie 10 day cruise out of Puerto Rico. Our flight to go home will not be until the evening. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a hotel that has day rates. Thanks so much!

I'm not sure what you want to do while at a hotel, but if you're simply looking for a place to store your luggage while sitting on the beach one last time, I would suggest the InterContinental.

 

My family and I were in the same position as you last December (and will be again in February!) and asked a taxi driver what to do. He took us to the InterContinental. We were expecting to perhaps have access to a room and business facilities, but found that we would have to pay a night's worth for that. Instead, we were told that we could use their washroom facilities to change and then store our luggage in their luggage storage area at no charge. The luggage was nicely marked with our names and then placed into a locked storage room. We were then directed to a portion of beach beside theirs and also to an internet cafe down the street to print boarding passes and the like.

 

We were more than happy to leave our luggage with them and bask in the rays for a few more hours. It wasn't what I had in mind, but it worked out well. If you're okay with not having access the ammenities of the hotel, I would certainly recommend this as an option. If you're looking for something with a few more perks, I don't think this scenario is the right one for you. At the very least, it's one suggestion.
