Goff Caye - Anyone been there?

Hi everyone,

 

Now that Bannister Island is out of commision (due to Hurricane Richard) I am looking for a beach alternative. NCL is not offering a stand-alone beach break, so it looks like Goff Caye might work for us.

 

Has anyone been there recently? I see conflicting reports on this board. Some say there are zero facilities, but others say there is indeed a decent bathroom, lunch and lots of rum punch. The info found on BelizeCruiseExcursions.com makes it look like a nice place, but I would like some honest opinions.

WOW, did not hear about Bannister Island. Was there this past July. Nice place to spend a few hours.
