Daily withdrawal limit on ships' ATM?

The ship doesn't limit you, but your credit card will. Most have a limit of $500 a day. The big problem is, there's quite a charge for taking out cash from the ATM...for me it was $5.50 per transaction plus a charge from the bank because it wasn't one of their ATM's.

Thanks for your help. The Aussie dollar is above parity with the USD and is likely to stay that way for a while so I can absorb the charges. I have to withdraw about $USD 1000 for Ramses tours and Guided Tours Israel etc. I have above that limit on my cc and I don't want to travel with cash. I think those charges will be minimal compared with the loss of a wallet. I just wanted to make sure I could get the USD on board.
