Port or Starboard on AOS Southern Caribbean

Recommended Posts

My wife and I are planning to sail on

the AOS to the Southern Caribbean

Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Maarten,

Antigua, St. Lucia, and Barbados. Can anyone tell

us which side of the ship has a better view of

the islands when docked? We plan on getting a

balcony cabin. Should we book Port or Starboard

side?

From what I understand, the ships don't always know which way they will face in port from week to week. We had a balcony on the other AOS itinerary and it was an even mix - we were over the dock side twice and we were out facing the ocean/harbor twice. Either way, lots to see, great views, so I had no complaints.

AOS docked at all ports. We were on the starboard side mid-hump. We were "facing" a Princess ship (across the dock from us) in St. Martin/Marteen; we had a view of the ocean in Aruba and Curacao; we had a view of the harbor (and island) in St. Thomas. It was all good.
