Things I should do after embarking...

After check-in & checking out Lido deck, I like to find the lounges where I can play trivia, find a place to curl up with my music & read, & clock the times & paths from MDR to theater & casino, so I know how much time I'll need (I also like to check out casino for favorite slots!)

We are also doing the anytime dining. I've read that you can (and should) make reservations for the MDR in advance once you board the ship. Maybe I'm wrong here?

Why should you have to make reservations for open dining? What I like about is is that day to day we can decide when we want to go eat. :)

Oh my, it's so far off it's almost embarrassing. But I'm so excited and hope so much nothing goes awry in the meantime. We're sailing on the New A next October 27 to November 13 (partly med/then transatlantic). I just want to find out all the "must do" thing and little ins and outs so I know before sailing. I know on my first Princess cruise I missed out on a few things because I was unaware of them. I don't want that to happen on my first HAL cruise!
