Magic: Deck 5 fwd or Deck 7 aft? with kiddos

For a 14-nt Transatlantic cruise (2 adults, 1 5-yr-old and 1 15-month old) would you choose a sideways inside room deck 5 forward or normal inside room deck 7 aft? Both category 11.

Pros:

Deck 5 fwd: great reviews of inside rooms, proximity to children's clubs, low foot traffic, one deck up from deck 4 outdoor seating (shaded)

Deck 7 aft: proximity to secret deck and Topsiders

We currently have deck 5 fwd booked, but deck 7 aft is intriguing. Shade is important to us due to past skin cancers including melanoma, and I know how deck chair hogs are onboard (at least on our other cruises). On Celebrity, we specifically booked a verandah cabin with the overhang for the shelter from the sun. If my parents book, I'm thinking of keeping our deck 5 fwd and booking them in deck 7 aft (if not booked in our area). Any feedback? Thanks. :)
