cruzinroxyroller Posted November 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2010 Our family will be crusing on Carnival Valor in mid December. Anyone have experience with cave tubing in Belize during this time of the year? If so, what agencies or excursions do you recommend, and why? Thanks. Hi there....you made a good choice in thinking about tubing. 6 of us went last Jan. and after much research we picked Major Tom the owner of cave tubing dot net. We had wanted to zipline as well and he has a combo with the caving, then the zip. It was awesome. We were met at the pier by Tom himself and ushered to his private vehicle for the one hour ride to the caves. The cost was $100 each for both events. We added $6 for lunch to be included as we had a full day and didnt know what might be available to purchase. It was chicken and rice, and we were so hungry it wouldnt have mattered what they had for us. He and his guides are extremely organized, and we felt very safe with them, even though none of us had done the zipline before. Check out his site, you can book without paying up front....he also guarantees to get you back to the ship on time, so never a worry there...The waters are fairly cold going through the caves...but really worth it. Forget about taking pics that will turn out, as its very dark (even tho you will have miners headlamps on) and you for sure wont bring any expensive camera that could take nice pics....Hope this info helps Rox
annfox Posted November 14, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted November 14, 2010 Thanks Rox - we'll check out this info. Also, what about snorkeling at either Cozumel, Caymans, or Rotan? Any suggestions for other excursions in addition to cavetubing?

How "tight" are the caves or are they fairly expansive? I certainly wouldn't want to get there and have a panic attack and ruin the excursion for the others.
