It's a cold rainy Monday in Atlanta, and we'll be on this Ship in January. Right now, there is no such thing as too many pictures.

Thanks--looking forward to more.

It's raining here in Alabama too. I was wondering if I was in picture overload, but I enjoy reviews with alot of pictures. We took about 900 pictures on this trip...I'm having a hard time narrowing it down. LOL! ;)

You will love the Freedom!!

Loving the review so far and great pics!!! We

ll be going on the Freedom in April and the more I see of her the more I love her!! Keep the review coming!:)

Thanks! She's a great ship! We can't wait to book another cruise on her!

After a couple of hours of riding around, we decided to head back to Mallory Square for some shopping. We enjoyed the golf cart, but I don't think we will rent one again if we go back to Key West. It just didn't seem to be worth $100.00 for 4 hours.

As I stated previously, one of the things that I just HAD to try were Conch Fritters! This may be a "fat moment", but I took a pic of them!! LOL! By the way, there were many of those moments on this trip! I gained 8 lbs. and my DH gained 6 lbs!

This is where we got the Fritters. It is located behind Mallory Square by the Trolleys...cool little place.

After enjoying our Fritters and shopping in Mallory Square, we decided to head back to the ship. We tried to get one of those pod chairs on the Serenity Deck, but we were out of luck. This would continue for the rest of the cruise. The pod chairs were ALWAYS full! Oh well, we could always depend on our balcony...which I LOVED!!!

Here is another pic of the ship as we were heading back to board.

After saying goodbye to Key West from our balcony, we decided to go eat some dinner and try our hand at the casino. I should have stayed AWAY!! Oh well, we had some fun and drank some yummy drinks. By the way, my favorite drink on the ship was the dirty banana, followed by the funship special and the babana split! Mmmm!!

I thought this was a cool ocean pic!

Next up...Grand Cayman!

Nice review. We did this ship/itinerary last year and loved. So much that we considered it again for our upcoming cruise. We instead are going on the Dream, but, I would love to do the Freedom again. Key West was my fave spot. Love the pictures too...lots of photos makes it feel like I am there too. :D

The next morning, we were docking in Key West. We decided to rent a golf cart and tour the island ourselves. We got lost...several times, but we had a great time doing it! We enjoyed the fact that we could see what we wanted to see on "our time". It's funny, it was more $$ to rent that golf cart for 4 hours in Key West than it was to rent a Jeep in Cozumel for the ENTIRE day!! (We were supposed to go to Jamaica on the last port day, but Hurricane Tomas changed our minds. More on that later...) There were two things that I HAD to try in Key West: Conch Fritters and Key Lime Pie! The Conch Fritters were great and pretty much tasted like hush puppies to me. I ended up getting a chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick which was kinda weird, but good.

Thanks! We are probably going on another cruise in June or July. We had discussed going on the Dream, but will probably do the Freedom again because we liked her SO much! Also, we didn't get to go to Jamaica because of Hurricane Tomas and I was REALLY looking forward to Dunn's River Falls and Mystic Mountain.

Thank you, patrickiii! :)

I LOVED YOUR REVIEW! Our first cruise was on the Freedom and your pictures brought back fun memories. In fact, the Dirty Banana was my favorite drink also! I have a picture relaxing in the lounge before a show with that drink in hand. Yum Yum!

It must be a typical thing for storms. We went in April and we couldn't do any excursions in Jamaica either because of a storm we followed there.

Thanks for the pics! It was fun seeing the Freedom again!

Great review and pictures! especially it's from a fellow Alabamian:D.

We will be on Freedom next month. And I want to rent a Jeep in Cozumel too.

Thanks, guxu. We had been to Cozumel before and rented a Jeep the last time we visited. It just seemed natural to do so again. We loved it! We stayed on the main road and did not venture off of it, though.

By the way...WAR EAGLE!!!! :D

Loving every post of your review. I'm on the Freedom in May and you are helping to fuel my excitment.

I'm glad that you like my review!! Enjoy your trip!

Your review is reminding me of my trip on the Freedom last month. Key West was a lot of fun.

I read your review as well and loved it!! I loved the pic of your Mom in the pod chair on the Serenity Deck...it made me chuckle!! She looked very comfy!! :D

Grand Cayman

I got up early and watched the sunrise from our balcony. My DH was being lazy this morning and slept in. Although...it might have been all of those fruity drinks that he had the day before!

We booked an excursion through Carnival for this port. Our excursion included the Hell Post Office, the Turtle Farm, and Stingray City. Our tour guide was great! After visiting the post office and the turtle farm, he said that he was going to take us by the Tortuga Rum Company since we were making such good time. There is an excursion that includes this, but it costs more. So, I thought that was pretty nice of him!

Arriving at Grand Cayman...

Here's a picture of a pirate boat that was docked by us. Our tender boat went right by it, so I was able to get a good pic of it.

More great review & pictures!! LOL about you acting like your falling from the golf cart. Totally something I would do. :D I know what you mean about pictures & trying to narrow it down! We took like 1000 pictures on our cruise! :o

I have this picture from our cruise on the Conquest in GC, almost exactly like yours, just the different ship. ;)

Here's a picture of the Hell Post Office. We sent postcards to some friends and family from there and they got them this past Saturday! (It took almost a week and a half.)

Next, we visited the Turtle Farm. We didn't necessarily want to visit it, but it was part of the excursion. I'm glad we did because it was fun! The turtles were SO cute! We enjoyed being able to catch and hold them. I was pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it!

There were many different sizes of turtles there.
