When i was on Oasis it docked on starboard side. I prefer to be between decks 6-9 as to be able to use stairs to go to restaurants/shows/prom, etc without having to rely on elavators all the time. I will be on deck 8 on Allure and was on deck 7 on Oasis.

It's my understanding, from what I've read here, that the best side of the ship for views of the ports is:

Starboard for Western itinerary

Port for Eastern itinerary

Hopefully, someone with first-hand experience on the Oasis will confirm.

When I was on Oasis' 3rd revenue sailing last year, eastern Caribbean, we docked starboard side in St. Thomas and Nassau, but port in St. Maarten. Now it seems that it docks starboard in St. Maarten also because it backs in. I don't know about the western sailings. Like the OP said, it could change based on other ships in port, but it is my understanding that in St. Thomas and Nassau it will more than likely dock starboard side.
