BethV114 Posted November 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2010 We're taking DD on Allure in a few weeks and she will be 15 months old. We're bringing her car seat with us for the flight, getting to the hotel, port, etc. and to use on excursions. We are know we can use the car seat in Costa Maya (have checked already with the tour operator) and are *hoping* to find a cab in Cozumel that has seat belts. Our biggest issue is what to do with the car seat when we're on the ship. Any thoughts? Has anyone had any luck asking their cabin steward to hide it away in a storage closet somewhere when not in use? Thanks!
RoadTripFanatic Posted November 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2010 We have had good luck with our cabin steward stowing ours for us in the past. I think on one cruise we did have to "cram" it into the closet.
crusinmama06 Posted November 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2010 What category on Allure are you doing? We always just shoved ours in the closet and never had a problem.
jlsmith24 Posted November 25, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2010 On RC's Explorer in September (balcony cabin on deck 7), we just stuck it in the corner between the bed and balcony. I had to step over the seat part to get to the side of the bed closest to the balcony which was fine, because it also kept our daughter from getting close to the balcony doors! Scrapchick Posted November 26, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2010 We used to keep ours on the balcony, as long as it was a covered one. DD used to go out there and sit in it when she felt like it! It kept it out of the way and was an extra seat out there too.
