Sheraton Biscayne Bay being demolished

We stayed post -cruise at this hotel on Feb 20/05 and were informed that the hotel is slated for demolition on June 17/05. Condo's are being built :rolleyes:

I've heard that from more than one source. I've also heard many bad reviews of the hotel. Since you just stayed there would you please give me your opinion. Do they have those dreamy Sweet Sleeper Beds?

I had heard those rumours too, and they are true. While at the hotel, I asked the General Manager and was told that the hotel is slated to be demolished on June 17th of this year.

 

To answer your question about sweet sleeper beds, the bed coverings were lovely, but the mattresses left a lot to be desired :(

 

No money is being invested in the upkeep of the hotel, so they certainly are not replacing worn mattresses.

 

The pool area is terrific :)

When i was there the beds were so WONDERFULL... I was ther in Dec. i wanted to rebooked but could not due to it being torn down!

Don't care if the bed coverings are olive green and khaki so long as the beds are comfy. I'll just hope for the best and if that doesn't work be really nice and ask for an upgrade. If that doesn't work I'll raise a stink!

I was there the day before and the day after the cruise and loved it. Dec 2004 I did not have any problems everyone was great and the room was Big and it had a balcony.For like $65 a night!
