intercontinental hotel in miami

I just booked this hotel thru priceline for july 9(before our july 10 valor cruise)anyone stayed there? comments? is within walking distance to the bayside marketplace?

We stayed there on the 12th ,the day before our cruise. Very beautiful Hotel. Yes, it is walking distance to the market place. And you can see the ships come in. A little pricey but beautiful.

Do you mind telling us what you paid for the room. I have been rejected twice for a 3-star hotel in Miami for June, 2005. Last year I got the Hyatt for $45 in Miami.

Be sure to call the hotel and ask for a room overlooking the cruise port. The 2 times Ive stayed there they have been very accomodating.

...beautiful pool and bar overlooking the harbor. We walked to the Bayside and felt safe, it cuts through a park-like area. On our way back there were a few people standing by the trees that looked as if they may have been homeless. They didn't approach us or ask for anything but it felt a little funny with it being dark.

I love that hotel! And if you're going to be there on a Sunday, the brunch is absolutely not to be missed. I lived in Miami for several years and rolled myself out of the Sunday brunch many, many times. It's a little expensive, but just think of it as a treat for what you're saving on the hotel by booking through Priceline!

Our last cruise out of Miami, we booked the Intercontinental on Priceline and got it for $69+tax. Fabulous rate for a wonderful hotel. :)

we got it for 65. plus tax. i actually bid for a 3-star downtown and they gave me the intercontinental (4-star)!
