Carnival Imagination 11/26/10 Review

We had a beautiful wedding! I quess I'll start from the top, woke up at about 730am at the Hilton Doubletree (yes I live in S. Fla but I wanted to be closer to the port I quess) had a bagel and OJ then did my makeup. Arrived at the port at 1000am exact but no 1 from Carnival or TWE was there so we unloaded and waited for the rest of my wedding party. When boarding began which was about 1030 went up while my hubby waited for his groomsmen. Once I made up the escalators two WE employees were there to greet me. I introduced them to the officiant who was the grooms uncle and then I was escorted to the VIP room.

 

In VIP me and my two sisters who were my Matron and Maid of Honors finished my fan programs. Ship was ready at about 1130.

 

Once on the ship one of the coordinators excorted us to our room. Me and the girls left the hubby to get ready we told him hurry up so by the time I come back you are gone and we don't see each other in our wedding attire. so we went to the ceremony and reception locations (dynasty lounge and disco) and was whisked away because the planners and coordinators did not want any help from us. Guest headed to Lido deck to eat. We did state we wanted the traditional white arrangements changed to the 4 purple floral arrangements I brought. Which was done without hesistation.

 

Well by the time we made it back he was gone so we started getting ready. The coordinator called at exactly 1245 ceremony started on time 100pm. Everything was beautiful music played on key, I didn't trip down the stairs and my hubby looked beautiful.

 

Pictures w/ fam followed before we went to the reception.(Camera man was not good)

 

Reception was great. However, DJ announced does anyone want to give a toast and I think just about everyone wanted to give a toast.(((Hilarious)))

 

Food was more than enough and very delicious, drinks were plenty and crowd was pleased. We don't drink however and we held up our first drink because the waiter ran 2 the bar to get us gingerale (((so sweet))) Cake was delicious and everyone wanted more. We gave the rest of the cake to dining room guest at dinner. Cruise guest thanked us we they saw us in various locations.

 

Everyone was so professional and nice. I really only wish it would have never ended but the honeymoon had 2 start LOL

 

I am more than available for questions/comments since I was help by so many other reviews.

By the way, did you have to pay for your guest to eat on the Lido deck, or were they just able to enjoy for free?

 

The Imagination was our first cruise ship experience and we loved it.

Mind you this was before it was renovated and it looks even better now.

Thank you and they ate for free :D and all enjoyed guest said food was great. So I guess thats why we had so much food left over at reception.

Well the camera guy was just snapping pics and after reviewing pics of ceremony and reception it didn't really look like he cared where the camera was facing or if the faces were looking at the camera. Also I was upset that alot of the pics I wanted he didnt even mentioned my dress was above my slip. so that ruin the whole pic. He just all around was a waste of money. So we only got 6 still shots from him and went immediately to a studio when we got home and finished pics for our soon to be album. I was so glad after reviewing pics of family and friends that theirs were better than his, and he's the professional Go Figure.

It was really unfortunately that the ship's photog was so bad! That is the one thing I'm really stressed over - that we won't end up with any good pictures. We both are really in to photography and not getting some shots would be heartbreaking!
