dutchiegirl6 Posted December 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2010 I tried searching and couldn't easily find info on what the ship's time is on my upcoming Southern Caribbean cruise on Carnival Victory. Does it remain on Eastern Time? Most of our ports are in the Atlantic time zone (one hour ahead) and we are trying to book private excursions. What makes me ask in particular is that we are booked w/ Silver Moon cruises in Barbados and we are supposed to meet them at 9am Barbados time (8am eastern), and the cruise says it docks at 8am (ship time). If ship time is eastern will we miss our meeting time for the excursion trying to get off the boat and through the crowds and the port area? I didn't realize PR was an hour ahead. I know we've been confused by ship time vs. port time in the past and didn't want to screw anything up! going to see the world Posted December 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2010 Thanks! I didn't realize PR was an hour ahead. I know we've been confused by ship time vs. port time in the past and didn't want to screw anything up! I'm a travel major and we had a big section on time differences...I failed horribly. haha. I'm like you, I wouldn't want to mess anything up either!
