havcamwiltravel Posted December 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2010 I have booked a two-day Cairo excursion with Ramses Tours and need to know from others who have been through the experience whether the tip should be based on the price of the tour alone or the price of the tour AND the overnight hotel charges and surcharges. I am asking because my wife and I decided to go all out and book a pyramid view room in the palace section of the Oberoi Mena House and with the surcharges, the room will practically cost as much as the tour. I certainly want to be generous and fair.
dileep Posted December 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2010 You should leave a good tip at the Mena House for the room cleaners The tour tips should be separate. Hopefully, you will have clear skies. We had a nice Pyramids views from the hallway to our room. Room 1201 will give you a peekaboo view of the Chefren pyramid. The even number rooms have a clear pyramids view. If you REALLY want to splurge go for the Winston Churchill Suite :D!
