Rare skittl1321 Posted December 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2010 So DH and I went the cheap route and got an oceanview for our second cruise. Does anyone have a recommendation for a secluded outdoor spot on the Freedom, to sit if we want to be outside, but away from it all?

nobody000 Posted December 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2010 We just got off last week and kinda depending on what was going on on board it kinda changes. But we found the Adult Serenity area wasnt as packed on other cruises we have been on. Also the very back pool on Lido by the retractable roof seemed to be pretty calm most times. Also they have the secret decks up front, we spent a good amount of time on the front of deck 8 and 9 and it was very nice. Esp pulling into San Juan, so beautiful. Walk all the way to the front of the ship on those decks and find the doors and go out;)
Mary Ellen1 Posted December 17, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 17, 2010 Deck 3, Lobby deck, outside. There are lots of lounge chairs in the shade, close to the water & the waves, and away from all the craziness up on the pool deck. I was surprised at how little-used this area was. A great place to get away from it all!

keystonemama Posted December 17, 2010 #8 Share Posted December 17, 2010 There are quite a few spots like everyone has said, also we stay up a little later, we found plenty of spots after 10:00 p.m. that were quiet. If you don't mind the inside, the library was always empty and glad we stopped in to look around there because they have a very old American flag encased on the wall, very interesting. On the Serenity deck we got up early in the a.m. and sat in one of the clamshell chairs by the water, so comfy, I could have slept all night in those!
