parasailor Posted December 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2010 How much do you tip a dive crew?
MPM Posted December 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2010 Obviously depends on the quality of service and number of dives, but I usually tip ten to twenty dollars.
BuzzF117 Posted December 19, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2010 I usually tip a minimum of $5 per tank so if it's a two tank dive I tip $10+
Laurie S. Posted December 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2010 Normally, I tip $5 a tank, but if they give extra special service, I'll give as much as $10 a tank. I did have one dive last month where I didn't tip. I did all the work, and even had to argue with them that my second tank was light before they would give me another one. The DM didn't believe me and put his own regulator and gauges to check it. Yep, it was 1,000 psi light.
092306 Posted December 19, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 19, 2010 The most I have ever given was $20. typically $10 for the two tanks and I gave the boat crew $10. I lost my case for my mask, I was very annoyed at. I still think another diver took it, not that I accused nor do I want to believe that it happened, but the crew went to the shop and got me a "spare." I believe that it was from someone who left it on the boat during another diving trip. That's why I gave them the extra money. PS The case they gave me was alot better then mine.
