topspot Posted December 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2010 I just found out on my roll call that we will be in Aruba on Betico Day. Does anyone know: a. does the bus system run on this holiday? b. does the schedule change? c. does this mean Baby Beach will be more crowded? Thanks
Arubalisa Posted December 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2010 January 25 is a national holiday. I am guessing the buses will run on a Sunday schedule. The bus will not take you as far as Baby beach. Baby beach will have more locals in that they will have the day off for the holiday.
woodward cruiser Posted December 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 20, 2010 I am on the same ship as Topspot! Does this mean many of the stores will be closed? How will shopping be affected?
Arubalisa Posted December 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 20, 2010 Stores may or many not be open for cruise ship(s). Tours will operate.
topspot Posted December 20, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted December 20, 2010 Thanks for the quick response Arubalisa, I knew you would know the answers. I knew from reading lots of posts on CC and info from another Aruba board ;);) that you would have the answers
Arubalisa Posted December 21, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2010 :) ;) On a cruise you will have the chance to shop in other ports. Imo, the prices are fair at best in Aruba unless you are from outside the U.S. For example South Americans find Aruba shopping to be a bargain, especially for name brands. ;) Maybe take an island tour or head to the beach? :)
