Has anyone stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port on Gulf Stream Way in Dania Beach? We were wondering if it was close to (within walking distance) any restaurants or stores. It would be convenient to be able to head to a Wal-Mart or the like to pick up last minute items before our cruise...

There is a Publix grovery store about 1 mile west on Griffin Rd.

You really don't want to shop at WalMart's in South Florida, they are the worst here. You are better off shopping at Target. There isn't a WalMart or Target within 5 miles of the hotel so Publix is your best bet.
