Wind Spirit time in Tortola & Jost Van Dyke for St Martin RT sailing

am looking forward to Wind Spirit RT from St. Martin sailing in the Caribbean in the New Year

Does anyone know why the itinerary only has the Wind Spirit in Tortola until 2PM and then getting to Jost Van Dyke at 8PM given that the islands are so close?

Much the same for leaving Jost Van Dyke at 3PM and arriving at Virgin Gorda at 8PM

We just came back from that trip and wondered the same thing. Guess they want to give guests more time "on the water". It was a strange itinerary.

What did you enjoy during your visit to Tortola?

Also, where does the Wind Spirit embark from in St. Martin?

Is it Marigot or Philipsburg?

While on Tortola we did the Island Sightseeing tour, which was sold out. It was an open air trolley that took us from one side of the island, over the mountain to the other side It was quite scenic and we stopped at a beautiful beach before heading back to the ship. The ship leaves from Marigot.

When I was on the Spirit the Captain told us that he needed to navigate the waters near Virgin Gorda in daylight, as the channel was narrow, thus the shortened time.
