Casino Question

Lambs2 - It was available on the Jewel and the Epic so I'm guessing it may be fleetwide. I only saw the promotion about the $125 in the casino on the Jewel if I remember correctly so I asked and got on the Epic.

You can take my advise or leave it but I'm a slot junkie and I know how to play the promotion. Every time you have a win - push the cash button. At the end of all your promotion money you can put those $.50 coupons in and get one complete voucher and then do as you like but that's the only way to know if you got your investment out of it.

THANKS! That's exactly how we play it too on NCL cruises. They have a totally different system on Carnival, it seems, and it is all linked to your sign and sale card and we did not like that AT ALL - could never figure out any way to get ahead and just ended up playing until all our gambling money was gone. NO FUN!!

Using the $50 slotplay.com voucher...

So I have to sit and play $50 worth of spins without interruption?

Can it be ANY machine quarter or dollar?

But as I read this, I can cash out ANY winnings along the way, and this will not affect the fact that I need to play $50, correct?

That is my understanding and how the match play coupons NCL used to give out (we used them last year) in the casino worked. We are waiting for Sharon (Cruise4me2) to get back here after her cruise and let us all know! Last year you could cash out any winnings and then move on to any other slot machine of your choice since the amount left was registered on your casino card. The difference I see is that last year we actually had put up half the money AT that casino (it was pay $10. get $10 free slot play coupon). This way, the web site company has your actual money (NOT the NCL ship's casino) so that is why I am waiting to hear how it ACTUALLY works before purchasing from the web site.

You actually have to download an amount you wish to play. For instance, say you have a $50 slot credit and decide to download $20 into machine A. You must play $20 before cashing out and moving to machine B. If you try to cash out after only playing $10 worth, you will get any winnings on the $10 initial download you played but you will lose the other $10 promotional amount you downloaded. (The casino will give you an instructional paper telling you how to download the credits along with the promotional card.)

When I use these promotional cards I always count my spins played to make sure I have bet enough to cover the initial download. Once those are played, you can of course cash out your winnings.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for that information and memory refresher! Yes, that is the way I now remember it too, but I was foggy on the details since our last NCL cruise was this past April. Looking forward to hearing how that web site's promotion (the one we have been talking about on this thread) worked for some folks who will be sailing on an NCL ship very shortly! Please come back and post your experiences here!

Yes, you print out the coupon and then present it at the desk in the casino. Seems like it is a real deal!

Still, I would like to hear from a cruiser who has actually used this coupon on an NCL cruise to make sure there are no glitches with the casino giving the credit! That means someone has to be the first to try it. :)

Just off the Star - (2/19-2/26) - used my $50 slot voucher in the casino and there were no problems. It did take a few minutes for them to call it in and wait for Internet confirmation, but otherwise they just put the $50 credit on your players card and you decide how much you want to "credit" to a particular machine when you sit down. Once you've bet that amount, you can cash out whatever's left. Pretty easy to use and worth my $25 investment for the $50 in slot play.

Thanks Bob! Sounds like a fun way to extend our casino play a bit. Except for the slight delay at the window when the casino has to call in for internet confirmation, these pre-purchased coupons appears to work like the match play coupons the casino used to give out in their coupon booklets. Probably best to get the "call-in" time over with in the casino just as early in the cruise as possible.

Were getting 2 of these coupons....Sounds like a great deal...FREE $$ is ALWAYS GOOD...:D

This was a great deal! We only purchased one since we couldn't find out for sure if it was going to be legit:) Everything worked well and like previously mentioned it just takes about 10 minutes for the host to verify the certificate. Just an FYI I would not try to get this done during any of the casino tournaments as it seemed like only the host/hostess knew how to handle it.

Also reminder you can only use 1 per person in a 14day period so don't buy too many:p

One thing we also bought and I would not recommend was the $15 in chips for $10. They give you promotional chips for all of them and you have to play each chip together. Like we played for roulette which was $5 min but you have to put 1 $5 chip on what you want to play and we couldn't split it up and get single chips. I could see that for the free $5 I got but I paid $10 so those chips should be mine to spend how I wish. Just my opinion.

Sharon

Good luck all
