themutis Posted December 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2010 We are sailing on the Solstice Jan 9th (Eastern Car) and am wondering what the temperature will be in the evenings on deck while we are at sea. Wondering if the water cools the air temperature, and if I should be packing sweaters :) Snow, snow everywhere at home today
aseg Posted December 29, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2010 We are sailing on the Solstice Jan 9th (Eastern Car) and am wondering what the temperature will be in the evenings on deck while we are at sea. Wondering if the water cools the air temperature, and if I should be packing sweaters :) Snow, snow everywhere at home today The ship is heavily air conditioned. During the day it ranges beyween 74-86 degrees. At night it ranges outside between 72-78 degrees. Bring one light sweater, a shawl or light golf jacket for walks on deck at night. The question usually is short sleeve vs. long sleeve. Wearing outer garments is dependent on age and health of cruiser. Have a wonderful trip
royalcruz Posted December 29, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2010 In January it can get very chilly on deck at night until you get into the Caribbean and even then it is sometimes chilly. Check the weather online before you go so you will have an idea. For the last couple of nights it has been in the 30s as far south as Key West.
