I could be incorrect but, I think Mardis Gras is mostly "celebrated" at Kaibo, so the SMB & George Town areas should not have unusual volumes of traffic (Rum Point proper too). Grand Cayman's version of Carnival is Pirate's Week which occurs in November.

 

We are usually off-island then, so do not take that as gospel.
