frommichigan Posted January 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2011 We are going to St. Kitts in May and would love to go to Brimstone Fortress however taxis seem to be really expensive. I am wondering if there is a bus to Brimstone Fortress? If so how much does it cost? Is the terminal close to the port? Is it easy to use and safe? Thanks for any help you might have. paul58 Posted January 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2011 There is not a "bus" that goes to Brimstone. Some of the tour operators have large vans & small buses for their tours. There are local buses which are vans that circle the island on the main island road, but do not go to Brimstone Hill.

Just to clarify what paul58 said… There are no public buses to the Brimstone Fortress, but you could take one to the bottom of the hill and walk up about 1.25 miles and SIX HUNDRED vertical feet to the fort. Obviously most people wouldn't want to do that hike, or are physically incapable of doing it. We were talking about taking the buses that go that direction and the hoofing it to the fort, however we didn't realize it was that far off the main road. Thanks again.
