charlesjoy Posted January 7, 2011 #26 Share Posted January 7, 2011 We gave cruised on RCI, Carnival and Princess and never had the ship store keep purchased cigarettes until the end of the cruise. Would not be very happy if that ever happened, not saying that it won't but that really sounds stupid if they are doing that to some people. I understand keeping the alcohol but why even sell them if you can't use them on the ship. Plus almost any port we have been in, you could buy them at ship's cost or even cheaper. Wecruise8 Posted January 7, 2011 #29 Share Posted January 7, 2011 It's my understanding that you can bring 5 cartons home. That is per person not per couple, correct?

pennywise Posted January 8, 2011 #33 Share Posted January 8, 2011 How many cartons can you bring back to US per person. Thank you
happytalk44 Posted January 8, 2011 #34 Share Posted January 8, 2011 If you buy them in St Thomas or what they call an "insular" possession (America Samoa etc) you can bring home 5 cartons per person. Check the US customs web site. Allowed 1000 cigarettes when 800 are purchased in one of those places.
