sueart46 Posted January 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2011 Hi. Has anyone cruised from Boston and stayed at a hotel pre-cruise? Is there a hotel that's wheelchair accessible and has shuttles from the airport to the hotel and/or hotel to pier? Are taxi's in Boston w/c accessible and easy to get? Thanks. Just so you know under ADA Law any hotel that provides free shuttle service for it's able body customers MUST provide free accessible transportation for a wheelchair/scooter customer. This means even if the hotels shuttle does not have a lift the hotel is required under ADA Law to arrange and pay for private accessible transportation. Most of the time you will get push back from the reservationist or front desk and they will just tell you the shuttle is not equiped with a lift. When that happens ask to speak to the Manager.... and yes threaten to report them to property local, state and federal agencies because they are not in compliance and treating all customers equally. However I must stress that this only applies if the Hotel offers free transportation. It does not apply if the hotel does not offer shuttle service.
