Bus route to/from cruise terminal to Accra Beach

After reading through the threads a few posters recommended taking a taxi from the terminal and the bus back. Two questions; is there a place to pick jump on the bus to the Accra within reasonable walking distance (1/2-3/4 mile) or a transfer stop and what is the price for a cab per person to Accra?
