jennifer22780 Posted January 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2011 so, i will be on an ncl ship going to tortola next month. i have heard amazing reviews about the virgin gorda baths.... and while there is no age requirement listed, im on the fence.... my 3 1/2 year old i am not concerned about- but i have an 8 month old, who my hubby was planning on carrying in a snugli carrier. do you think this will be ok? or is it too difficult of an excursion to do that? i think its the virgin gorda & highlights tour..... any feedback, suggestions, etc would be helpful! thanks! lyonnequeen Posted January 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2011 I havent been on this excursion, but on the website for Tortola Charters, they mention the following about the Baths trip: (This tour is not suitable for non-swimmers, infants or guests with limited mobility). Betsy's Mom Posted January 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2011 The Baths are not for toddlers and most assuredly not for infants, snugli or not. The difficulties of traversing the caves varies with the ocean swells and conditions. I doubt anyone would let you go if it was a planned excursion. Enjoy something else.:) B. nabby Posted January 11, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2011 You might consider Spring Bay Beach, which is one beach over from the Baths. There are swings and picnic tables, a beautiful beach, and some of the large rocks that you see at the Baths. It is much less crowded too. When you take the taxi from Spanish Town, you would just tell them to let you off at Spring Bay. When you are ready to go back, you just walk back up to the road and pick up a taxi going back.
