Norwegian Dream Information

My wife daughter and I are planning to sail to Alaska on the Norwegian on August 1, 2005. We have reserved a category C cabin on Atlantic deck. Is this a good deck to have a cabin on or would it be preferable to have a category D cabin on the Promenade Deck?

We have previously sailed on the Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Sky to the caribbean but thought we would like to take a longer cruise (i.e., 10 days ) to Alaska. Is the Norwegian Dream a worthwhile ship to sail on. I have seen both bad and good reviews.

Also is there an on board guest laundry? On a 10 day cruise, it might be useful to have the use of a self service laundry.

There is no self service laundry on this ship. I would never have an oceanview on the promenade deck, not enough privacy, and you can't look directly at the ocean water. I am one of the ones with a good review from my trip. It was a great cruise. My advice is to eat in the dining rooms on the back of the ship for all dinners.

We agree with not having an ocean view room on the Promenade Deck, NO Privacy and you can't enjoy the view.

We enjoyed the Terrace Dining Room just for the view.

We did miss the designated table and dining time, but enjoyed the cruise.

"Was there any particular reason why you did not care for the mid-ship "Four Seasons" dining room?"

We didn't give it too much of a chance, we ate there only once for breakfast and once for dinner. It seemed much less personal, and it took longer to be served. Our water glasses were never refilled and we were never offered bar service. In the other two, we never had a bad experience.
