DevBrown Posted February 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2005 My family and I are going to St Thomas the first of June. We are traveling with a few other families and some are on a tight budget and don't want to shell out $50pp for a ship sponsored snorkeling excursion. We all definitely want to snorkel. Any suggestions on a beach that offers rental snorkel gear. About how much does it run for the rental and transportation? Any help would be great!! The Islander Posted February 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Hello, Magens Bay, Coki Beach, Sapphire Beach and I think Secret Harbor have snorkel rental. I don't know the exact price at each place but I would figure its about $6 to $8 a set with a $20 to $25 security deposit (you get it back when you return the gear). Coki, Sapphire, Secret Harbor have good snorkleing. Magens is pretty much all very sandy bottom so not much to see. --Islander http://www.*****
DevBrown Posted February 28, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Thanks! I think we are going to go out to Coki beach. The beach looks great and coral world looks like a blast! I have a three year old daughter going with us and I think she would love it.
Jim M Posted March 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2005 We were at Coki beach last week (2/23), mask and snorkel were $5.00 fins were an additional $5.00. They took the Sea Pass as a security deposit. Son and daughter loved it. Jim M
