Zaandam?

We were on the Zaandam in December. Loved the Zaandam, beautiful ship. Food and service were great. Yes, there were a few rust spots here and there but they did not in any way detract from a wonderfully enjoyable cruise. Entertainment is such a personal thing but we thought there was some really good performers and a few that were not to our taste. They had an excellent piano player, Eliot Finkel, Jeff Tachta show which was very entertaining, and one of the production shows was excellent. We also enjoyed the Piano Man, Neptunes and HAL cats. We attend a lot of classical music performances at home and were disappointed in the string group. Hope that helps.

Don't pay any attn to the negatives to begin with. We enjoyed every aspect and we don't look for a light bulb out or some natural rust that occurs when sailing in salt water all the time.

We like wine and enjoyed very much Rod's, Cellar Master, wine tastings(std. and premium) and we also attended the Sommelier Dinner in the Pinnacle which was really great pairings for a 5 course dinner. We miss Rod and all the other crew.
