44disney Posted January 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2011 Last year we snorkeled in Hawaii and our tour provided a prescription snorkel mask for my daughter, whose vision is pretty bad. I don't really want to buy a mask for her since her prescription keeps changing (I know that there are masks that you can change out the lenses when you get a new prescription but they are expensive) and she is likely to get contacts next year. There is no way that she will get contacts in time for our trip so... does anyone know of a snorkel/stingray tour that offers prescription masks as a courtesy? I know that Moby Dick tours does not. Thanks!
wifeofbedo Posted January 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2011 Here is a place I came across in my quest for a tour, where you can rent an "optical mask". It was recommended in Fodors book. Perhaps that is what you are looking for? the website is all one word, eden rock dive dot com good luck!
oratheeexplorer Posted January 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2011 I also found out you can go to Eden Rock and rent an optical mask, I think they told me $10 for the day......that is what I am going to do for a snorkel excursion on Grand Cayman......we are doing the Semi-Sub and Snorkel excursion through Princess.......going to Eden Rock first to rent the optical mask because I am blind w/out my glasses!
