Do beaches rent snorkel equipment?

My experiance at most items has been that at beaches that have nice quality snorkeling there is usually vendors that rent snorkeling equipment, and often dive operators.

Frankly, the beaches we've been to on St. Martin didn't have decent snorkeling and I don't recall seeing snorkeling equipment rentals. I think you'll do better determining where there might be good snorkeling and then asking about, maybe even googling, vendors on that beach to see if they rent snorkeling equipment.

That's not saying there are not good places to snorkel, just that I haven't been to any there. Although St. Martin is best known for it's beautiful pristine beaches and turquoise waters than areas with lots of coral and nice snorkeling. Orient beach is just awesome - a mile or so of beautiful sand and water.
