First time on Princess, just wondering what entertainment you'd recommend? We have 2 weeks but still know we won't fit everything in!! I'm travelling with a friend and we enjoy going to the theatre, dancing and good music so any suggestions welcome

You will have ample opportunities to do both of your favorites. There are shows most nights in the theater, and dancing every night. We prefer the Wheelhouse Bar, and depending on what else is going on there may be dancing in Explorer's lounge or the Vista Lounge. On recent cruises they are starting to have ballroom dancing in the latter two venues in the early evening.

Enjoy

Hi,

More formal dancing is usually in the wheelhouse bar, where they also do cheaper drinks at certain times (I noticed you are a jock! (for our American cousins, Jock = Scottish)). If you want modern dancing then there is Skywalkers for 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s music with a dance floor. This is usually quiet, but can pick up on certain nights.

If you are really sad like us then I should mention that you can get Scrabble boards from the casino. We kept ours for our 2 weeks (the staff told us to) and played in the Cafe/Bar area and on the balcony. Every time we were in the Cafe/Bar area about a dozen people would stop and ask where we got it from. There are loads of boards.

The theatre shows are pretty good and the quizzes can be fun.

Enjoy.

Thanks for that folks. MattOsprey we are indeed Jocks and like a wee tipple so that's really helpful :D Not so much looking for formal dancing but nice to listen to a good band if possible. I heard they might get rid of Skywalkers in the refit:confused:

Scrabble sounds good as both my friend and I play regularly so she'll be chuffed too - must remember that one!

As two young-ish single ladies it would be great to join in with games/quizzes and looking forward to having lots of fun - hope it's a good CD in that case!

26 weeks today until we get on board so after her overhaul (and ours!) can't wait to get to Southampton :)
