charge for cashing travellers cheques?

We used traveller checks on board during our back to back cruises to the Black Sea and the Greek Isles in August and September of 2010 to obtain US funds to pay for our numerous private tours that wished to be paid in US dollars, and we were NOT charged anything by the ship to cash them. If you wish to obtain foreign currency there is a 5% fee. In fact if you are booked and look at Oceania's web site for already booked frequently asked questions you will see their policy spelled out there.

Hope this helps.
