pandi77 Posted January 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2011 My husband and I will be sailing on the Radiance in March from Tampa and plan to board early as possible. My question is whether anyone has been able to get a wifi signal while still docked instead of using the ship's internet? The ship's hotspots wouldn't reach our cabin which is deck ten aft and we'd love to just hang out there (weather permitting) and finish work emails before we set sail. We figured that maybe there was somewhere in Channelside or nearby that might have wifi we could ride. Thanks!
ehfl Posted January 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2011 Most new smartphones can act as a hotspot, so if you have one, you can just use that. If not, it might be a good time to upgrade...some good deals on phones out there now. I just use my phone as a hotspot when I need one. It's convenient, and fast. gadaboutgal Posted January 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2011 We did 4 back to backs on Radiance in December and as I recall when we were in Tampa there were many many wifi's within range of our balcony cabin--however, they were all secured. Sorry.
