Hi, just a quick question - sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and cant get back to sleep. We are going on the Epic, what is there to do at like 2-5am?

This is our first cruise and its a transatlantic, 10 out of 11 days are at sea so its not like everyone will be up 24/7.

So what can you do? Are you able to go out on the top deck and look at the stars? Is a pub or something open lol?

Thanks

O'Sheehan's pub is open. This place offers comfort food 24/7 and you can play air hockey there. Bowling is in this area of the ship but not sure if bowling is available during the night. There is the big screen in the atrium that looms over O'Sheehans but not sure if there will be anything worth watching at that hour.

The casino is likely to be open. In fact they stay open until there are no more players (although sections of it may shut as people go to bed).

It's a good time to check email, because there aren't as many people sharing the bandwith.

Yes, you can go up on the top decks and stare at the stars.

I think the Atrium Cafe has early-bird coffee (or maybe that was part of the buffet...I don't recall)....

I think that the gym is open 24 hrs.

Frankly, the EPIC is so big and so intersting that you could probalby spend many of those hours just wandering through the ship, exploring.

Thanks! Not a gambler but will check out the casino just to watch ppl keep NCL in business

Also, great tip about the net. Ill have my laptop so might go up to the top deck, hop on a lounger thingo and report back to the family. It must be nice to be in the middle of the atlantic and looking at the stars! Although it will be cold I presume

You could write your review on your laptop. You can find a nook and read.

My mom got sick with bronchitis on my TA and I found myself out and about in the wee hours sometimes. There is a calm about the ship. It really feels so different, it is fun to explore when there are not crowds about.

I am often up at 1AM or 3AM or 5AM at home, so why would things be different on a cruise ship? :)

Checking email at 3AM means your downloading speeds are faster....and usually there is one restaurant or bar open all night. You can also order from 24 hour room service :). And of course, looking at the ocean is fun. Enjoy
