Any good local places to eat near Hampton Inn?

Just curious if anyone has any recommendations for a good local place where we can have a few local beers, maybe get a taste of local food? Not looking for things I can eat at home so no chain restaurants please. Thanks in advance for any info.

Is this the Hampton in Isla Verde? If so, Soleil Beach Club is awesome! great local food, on the water, open air dining. If you call them ahead of time they will even come pick you up and take you back to the hotel (only Hotels in the Isla Verde area).

Lupi's Sport's Bar is up the street from Hampton. It use to be pretty good but we were there a couple weeks ago (stayed at ES) and were disappointed big time! I later found out that they had changed management. We were so pleased a couple years ago.....but not this time. Actually, it was really bad.
