Bimini Boatyard question

Is it within walking distance of the water taxi? Is it a "safe" area to walk around in at night?

The closet water taxi stop is at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 and is about a 10-minute walk from Bimini Boatyard. Yes, it is safe to walk there at night as both the restaurant and taxi stop are located along a very busy street (17th Street Causeway).

 

There is a water taxi stop at the 15th Street Fisheries, which in my opinion, has a better atmosphere and food.

Not sure where your starting location is, but we walk there from the Renaissance on 17th St. downtown, have had no problem. There is also an Einstein's Bagels in that area, which is great for a light breakfast (or delicious bagel) before boarding the ship.
