Montego Bay: What to do with a 4yo?

Hi! After Cozumel and Grand Cayman, Montego Bay will be our last stop before heading back to Galveston.

We've got a pretty good idea on excursion ideas for the first two ports of call, but drawing a complete blank on Montego Bay. All suggestions are welcome.

Staying on the ship is an option, of course, particularly after two days of excursions in a row. But, after Montego Bay are two days on the sea, so staying on the ship isn't too appealing.

TIA!

Tia,

We did a day pass at Sunset Resort, all inclusive, and had a wonderful day. Nice beach, lovely pool with waterpark. Our daughter was 5 years old then and we had a great day. Food was good with a BBQ area on the beach plus a buffet. Drinks were included both alcohol and non alcohol. Clean restrooms and shower areas/changing areas. We would go back to this resort again when we cruise that area. Short taxi ride from the ship to the resort, about 10 minutes.

We spent our call at Montego Bay at a quiet, private beach at Doctor's Cove, within walking distance of Margaritaville. $5 entrance fee per adult, $2 per child. $5 rental per beach chair or umbrella. Snorkeling gear was also available at $5pp.

Fresh, fried grouper lunch at the beach restaurant named Groovy Grouper, a jerk calamari dish, a couple of cocktails, coconut water and tips for 40USD.

What we found to be exorbitant was the $5pp one-way shuttle bus fare.

Great beach. My 4yo had a great time running around on the sand, collecting little shells and interesting rocks. Also got to chew on sugarcane sticks and drink coconut water.

We left the beach around 4:30PM local time and ran into rush hour traffic, which made for some nervous moments. :-)
