How does eating at the Captain's Table work? Are you invited? Can you ask? I know lots of questions...but genuinely curious!

You have to be invited. We have been invite once on our last cruise. It was a great experience.

Are children ever invited to dine with the captain as well or is it stricly adults only????

How do you get invited?

Usually the social director is looking out for people to place at the table. We have dined at Captain's table twice. You can ask, and sometimes get lucky - like we did. Two answers are available - yes or no. Go for it.

We ate with the captain on the Navigator in Oct. He and his wife were at the m&m and asked our party of 4 and another couple that were in attendance to dine with him and his wife on second formal night. We got an invitation on our cabin door one night telling us what we needed to do. It was very exciting, they gave us all the wine we wanted and a nice portrait of us at the table. It was my daughters first cruise so that was neat.:)

One couple from our M&M group on the Navigator won dinner with the captain when they did a raffle.
