Internet/phone usage on islands

I recently learned that we will be able to use our AT&T iphones on Puerto Rico and St. Thomas as they fall under the U.S. coverage without any additional charges. This was great news to my DH who was absolutely forlorn at the thought of having no internet (or highly expensive and limited) access during our 7 day trip. I don't know about Nassau and the Grand Turks. Hope this information helps and sorry if this is obvious information known to all already. :)
