mrsbojamp Posted January 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2011 I will be cruising out of Bayonne in February and although I have cruised from NY many times, this will be my first winter cruise. So, I have a few questions: 1. What is Sail-Away like? Are there outdoor festivities? 2. Approximately how long does it take to feel some warmer weather? 3. Do they offer a wider variety of indoor activities during the sea days? Thanks fellow CC'ers. I have always gained some great info on these boards! flamingopink Posted January 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2011 I have sailed 5 times on the Explorer in the winter. Festivities are done in the promenade area, band, parade etc. also ice skating shows and casino is open. I have always found plenty to do. I get unpacked and settled in and take a walk around ship stores etc. 1st sea day cold, next day you can be laying out at pool area depending how warn it is around Fl area. Last Sea day cold, get packed and make any last day shopping and settling things up. I have always enjoyed the 2 days at sea to experience different thing I would not do (classes etc). Always at pool area when warm. Hopes this helps
