St. Thomas

Not having dived in years, I took a refresher off the beach in St. Thomas last week with Coki Dive Center at Coki Beach. A good reef; lots of fish; nice divemasters; and 2 tanks for $61 (or 3 for $71).

A good place for those who want to dive in a place where the rest of their family can snorkel or sit on the beach or who want to spend less time than a boat dive often requires. Very responsive to e-mail, too.

Thank you for the post. I will be in St. Thomas in about 5 weeks and I like the idea of scuba diving while the family enjoys themselves on the beach. Can you tell me how the beach is and whether there was a lot of pan handling? I heard that there has been a bit of violence on the island. Did you pre-book the dives and was there transportation provided? I am glad that you enjoyed yourself. It has been a while (9 months) since I have been in the water and this sounds like the perfect vehicle to reaquaint myself to diving.:o
