Satellite Pagers

Recommended Posts

The only satellite paging service I know of is from Iridium... The pager hardware, Motorla 9501, is no longer made, but can be purchased used.... the monthly service charge is NOT cheap however.

I'm not sure how much use it would be on a cruise; you would only receive the page when you are on deck (and PERHAPS on a balcony, depending on thr relative location of the satellite transmitting to you.)

Depending on your needs, perhaps you could utilize the Cell Phone tower on board the ship to receive text messages?

Aloha,

John
