Can you attach an Xbox to the TV?

I know, I know, but...:o

We are looking to book the 14-day to Hawaii with my 15-year-old son. One of his questions is whether or not there are plugs on the TV so he can bring along his Xbox.

In his defense, we've cruised with him before and he's always stayed very active. He does play Xbox at home, but not all day. This may be a good compromise if he's able to attach it. Still haven't decided, but don't even know if it would work. Does anyone know?

Thanks!!

Most cruise lines disable the video inputs ... they want you to spend money on their games.

Good question. Years ago my son brought his game systems on. He is 23 now so this was l long time ago! He broke the habit when he went to the galapagos.

Everyone has their own way to do downtime- drinks, reading, sunning, casino, moviesf, cards... No reason to apologize for Xbox. Its everybodies vacation!

If the ship has the new flat panel TVs it will work, with the caveat that I don't recall an empty plug near the TV so some creative cordage may be required.

ETA: Make sure he doesn't connect to Xbox live and eat up minutes... :)

The teen club has plenty of video games, a huge tv and, if I remember, a big, comfy couch. DS isn't here to tell me exactly the set-up but I would not bother taking a gaming system from home. Teen time isn't scheduled the way it is for the younger set. Your son can use the club set-up and will have plenty of company.

There is a spare electrical outlet behind the TV. We use it for our iPod speakers but need an extension cord as there is not clearance to plug in the charger directly.

It is an excellent idea to bring an extension cord as there are not always very many (enough) outlets if one brings a few electronics When I shared a cabin with my daughter I ended up buying one in St Thomas. I never saw the girls so happy.
