Any tips for successful use of electric razors/shavers?

I'm not a regular fashion board poster, but felt that some of you might have some ideas to share on this topic. My husband gave me an electric razor for Christmas. It's made by Remington & can be used wet or dry. Well, I've tried it both ways & cannot seem to figure out how to get it to actually shave most, not even hoping for all mind you, the hair from my legs. I still feel stubbly or find lots of hair left even the same day I use it. The next day I need to shave again. I have been a Schick Intuition convert for over a year & really loved that (& could go 3-4 days at least), but I'm trying to not hurt hubby's feelings by not using his razor. Maybe I'm just not doing it right. There are instructions on how to clean it, but none on how to actually USE it !! Can anyone help me?? Signed, Stubbly & Stupid
