Hotels to stay at in Vancouver (Taking Disney Alaska Cruise)

We are taking the Disney Alaska cruise on 1 June. We have never been to Vancouver, BC, before and are looking for a nice but reasonably priced hotel there. Seems hotels are kind of expensive. Also have 1 1/2 days to explore, wonder what to do?

I recommend buying the Frommer's Guide to Vancouver and Victoria for 2010. Great tips...Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Island, Stanley Park all sound worthy of visits.

 

I can't help you with the hotel room, though. We're just sucking it up and paying crazy dollars to stay at the Pan Pacific at the port.

We will have to find a cheaper hotel. Those disney hotel rates are really outrageous.

Keep checking Pan Pacific rates. I got it for $79 a couple of yrs ago.

We live in WA state and frequent Vancouver, BC. We usually stay here. It's around $119/night with a full hot breakfast. The pier is within 30 mins from this hotel.

We are going in June and got a room at the Coast Coal Harbour for pre-paid cost of $149. They had very good reviews.
