"Roomgate" Drinks n' Snacks and CAS Seabucks

Ok two more questions :D. . .

We're boarding the Gem in a few days and need some advice!

We'd like to bring on board 2 bottles of wine (I know about the $15PB fee), maybe a six pack of soda and water and some assorted munchies.

Do we carry this aboard with us? Or tag it with baggage?

Second Question . . .

We did the 1 Day CTN about two years ago, from my reading it sounds like our earned Seabucks expired. Is this true? Also does anyone know what the bucks/points per play are for slots and table games like roulette? and lastly were/how to you redeem Seabucks on board?

Thanks in advance!

We generally take the wine as a carry-on, in a small rolling cooler with soda, etc and pay the corkage right after going thru "security". This way there is no chance to get called to the "naughty room" and have your vacation delayed. In the past we have also just stuck a luggage tag on a 12 pack of soda or water and checked it.

Seabucks expire after 18 months I think. Points for slots are at the ratio of 1 point for each $5 run thru. video poker is 1 point per $10. All table games are at the discretion of the pit bosses and their unknown formulas. 1500 points gets you a drink card, for free drinks in the casino while playing (I don't think they deduct the points, it's just a threshold point). Minimum 2500 points to cash in the last night during specified hours - see your Daily for times. 2500 points gets you $25 cash (actually OBC applied against your account) back, 5000 =$50, etc, with bonus as you get high in the numbers.

We usually bring an extra rolling suitcase and put bottled water and bottled soda in it. We tag it and it arrives with our other suitcases. After all is said and done, we had extra water and soda in our cabin and then an extra suitcase for souveniers! I have seen passengers walk onboard carrying a 12 pack of soda. I also saw passengers take a case of water out of their car, tag it and place it with their luggage. :)

We just cruised on the Dawn. I was one who put my luggage tags on a case of water, and a 12 pack of soda at the pier. The porter double checked that I could do that. It arrived in my room with my luggage. The room steward kept a bucket of ice in the room for our sodas and waters.

We also bought 5 bottles of wine. We put them in our carry on, at the security scanner they flagged our bags, we went over to the table, took them out of our carry on and paid the corkage. The room steward also bought an ice bucket for the wine and kept it full every day.
