sasejm Posted February 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Check out Seabourn's website for one week (2/7/11 - 2/14/11) sale on many cruises. You may be surprised.
ITravelNow Posted February 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2011 I think it's more hype than a real sale....my cruise is the same price is was in November, even though it's "on" the sale list. Seems like false advertising to me.
sasejm Posted February 11, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted February 11, 2011 I booked in November as well except my fare dropped significantly during the sale. I guess every cruise and category will have a different value. It's worth checking though.

twoboys Posted February 12, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 12, 2011 We booked our July sailing on the Quest back in December. But when I saw the post about the sale I called my TA right away. Our fares dropped $500 per person and she was able to get us the lower fare. So that $1000 we saved on the cabin, just paid for our excursions :)

sasejm Posted February 12, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted February 12, 2011 I'm glad you were able to benefit from the sale. You've made my day as well. We saved well over 3k for the two of us from the offer.

Hi Martita I have a friend who would really like to join us on the Quest in August. Would you mind sharing with me what supplement would be considered outstanding, it could just make the difference whether he joins us or not. Thank you Mark
Martita B. Posted February 17, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 17, 2011 Mark For many years we solo Sailor's were spoiled by the "Run Of The Ship" rate ~110% I always booked at least a year or year and a half for my sailings, securing one of these suites. Those days are a thing of the past ~~For me booking a voyage now is simply a matter of "what" I am willing to pay ~ My suggestion to your friend is to invite a relative or a friend to join him thus paying the 2 to a suite rate. Also, using a knowledgable travel agent is a must ~this IS a deal maker or breaker ~ Happy Trails & Sails Martita B.
